Jungian Therapy is based on the psychological model and teachings of Carl Jung (1875-1961), the Swiss psychiatrist who was a contemporary of Freud. Jung developed a different model of the psyche than Freud.
A basic premise of Jung’s theory is that we are all on a journey of “WHOLENESS” in our lives. We must uncover and come to terms with old emotional issues from our past in order to progress on this path toward wholeness. Therapists who use this approach help people get to the CORE of present-day emotional problems like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and other issues.
Once the Core problem is uncovered, healing is enhanced, and one experiences a sense of “ALIVENESS” that may not have been part of the consciousness for a very long time.
