self esteem

People can have low self esteem for most of their lives.  Many hold a concept of themselves as being “innately bad.”  Where does this concept come from and how can we change it?  Similarly, many people do not feel WORTHY.  Indeed, they feel unworthy of self-nurturance.  They feel unworthy of love.  They feel they do not deserve the good things that happen in their lives.  My work with adults and adolescents here helps them discover their gifts and abilities, so that they feel EMPOWERED and gain COURAGE to “walk through” their fears.  The goal of therapy is to help people understand that they are “innately good” and therefore worthy.
